The partnership between La Mesa-Spring Valley Schools and San Diego State University’s School
of Teacher Education continues to grow and flourish with each passing year. On September 12 th , a
professional workshop was hosted by the School of Education for guide/mentor teachers for teacher
candidates in the Special Education program, Dual Language, English Learner, and the School of Teacher
Education departments. Thirty-one of the 35 guide teachers were in attendance.
